About us
Church Action Teams (CAT Groups)
In November 2002 a workshop was held to re-appraise the life and work of the Church. Following this it was decided to set up several Church Action Teams (now known as CAT groups) to utilise more fully the gifts given by God within the Church and to promote activity in the various aspects of Church life.
CAT1: Publicity and IT
CAT2: Building works and Development
CAT3: Fellowship Activities
CAT4: Youth Work
The Church Action Teams cover a wide range of work and service at Trinity and this is described in more detail below
CAT1

responsible for all publicity and Information Technology related material.
This covers website implementation, church prospectus,
event publicity and promotion, the management
of audio and visual equipment and preparation of service material,
such as songs/ hymns presentations and other video/ DVD presentations.
Recently the group has replaced the old sound system with a quality modern system that is more suited to our present needs.
CAT2
During the financial year 2004/05 the hall roof has been refelted and the windows and fire escape door have been renewed in double glazed uPVC. Currently, the group is considering how the front of the church can be made more inviting and user-friendly for those with special physical needs.
Consideration is also being given to the removal of the pews and pulpit and replacement with chairs and a multipurpose platform in order to achieve a more contemporary look and increased flexibility to the use of the Church building.
CAT3
Is the group responsible for organising Church events designed to encourage
Christian fellowship - Trinity fun nights, bring and share meals, hospitality
meal rotas, after-service refreshment, etc. The group is also involved
in visiting people who are unwell and they have setup a 'Prayer Circle.'
CAT4
Youth work is the responsibility of this Church Action Team, important for reaching out to the children in the local area. At present a new and improved Energize group (ages 6-11) takes place during the morning service and shortly Energize Plus (ages 11-13) will run along side it. A midweek week youth group (ages 13-18) meets on Monday nights on an ad hoc basis and consideration is being given to setting up a weekly Friday night youth club.
